Taíno Then, Taíno Now
Celebrate the connection between past and present with the Taíno Then Taíno Now slate plaque. This colorful Sorogal artwork brings two generations of cultural imagery together in one design.
Two figures stand back-to-back at the center. One side is surrounded by a tropical island landscape and traditional imagery. Meanwhile, the other looks toward a modern city setting. Together, they create a visual bridge between yesterday and today.
Heritage That Continues
The words “Taíno Then, Taíno Now” express the heart of the design. Time moves forward, communities change, and surroundings evolve. However, cultural traditions and ancestral connections can continue across generations.
Taíno-inspired symbols, tropical flowers, palm trees, and bold patterns surround the figures. In addition, the warm gold, red, green, and blue tones give the artwork an energetic island character.
The Taíno Then Taíno Now slate plaque pairs this detailed artwork with the natural beauty of slate. Its textured surface and rugged edges add an earthy finish to the piece.
Puerto Rican Inspired Home Decor
Display this plaque on a shelf, mantel, desk, tabletop, or entryway. Its bold design can serve as both home décor and a conversation piece.
Moreover, it makes a meaningful gift for someone who appreciates Puerto Rican heritage, Taíno-inspired artwork, ancestry, or Caribbean culture.
At Sorogal, we believe heritage can inspire new art while keeping connections to the past alive. Therefore, this design celebrates both cultural memory and the generations carrying those stories forward.
Bring the Taíno Then Taíno Now slate plaque into your home as a colorful expression of heritage, continuity, and cultural connection.
